The "Lean Management YELLOW BELT – 2Days" program is designed to enable Managers and operational teams to discover how to practically improve the performance of their processes (Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Quality, Costs, Deadlines, Motivation…) on a daily basis using the principles and tools of Lean Management.
This training makes you eligiblae to the "Lean Management Yellow Belt" certification.
- > Understand the principles of Lean Management / Operational Excellence applicable at ENGIE
- > Understand and assimilate the "Basic" tools of Lean Management through games and interactive exchanges to better control the performance of an operational perimeter
- > Introduce continuous improvement projects (Kaizen and DMAIC Lean Improvement Projects)
- > Put into practice the tools on concrete cases in group workshops
- > Discuss with the group your issues to be solved using Lean management in a CODEV approach

Planning
Defining Operational Excellence / Sustainable Lean Management for ENGIE and the PDCA approach
Introducing the principles of Lean Management and application via a game.
Explaining the fundamental tools of Lean Management for ENGIE (Quality: Getting it right the 1st time – Problem Solving, Standards, and Visual Management)
Opening up to Field Management Routines and Rituals, Performance Visual Management, the Lean Manager posture and cultural changes
Introduce the different types of improvement projects (Kaizen, DMAIC)
Sharing the Kaizen (continuous improvement) Mindset
Build a Performance Visual Dashboard
Start an A3 project
CODEV : Share and discuss how to solve an operational issue you brought using Lean Management
Launch an improvement initiative, using Lean tools to solve and operational issue, and show sustainable impact on a KPI
Round Table & Debriefing of the participants
Prerequisite
Before the training, the trainees will be requested to provide an operational issue they would like to solve, and that could be a use case for Lean tools.

Assessment methods
To obtain the Lean Management Yellow Belt Certification
• The trainee will have to apply at least one Lean tool (Standard, Visual Management…) to solve a specific issue and demonstrate it had a sustainable impact on a Key Performance Indicator on their perimeter
• The trainee will present his use case, method and result during a 30-minute oral defense, before a jury composed of a Lean Expert from Engie Consulting (or a partner) and the trainee’s manager
