The "Lean Management GREEN BELT – 3 days" program is designed to help students discover how to carry out a project to concretely improve the performance of a process (Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Quality, Costs, Deadlines, Motivation, etc.) thanks to the DMAIC method and the principles and tools of Lean Management.
This program can be completed on request with a "Six Sigma – 1 day" training in order to discover the statistical tools of Six Sigma to perform an in-depth analysis of performance problems.
This training makes you eligible for the "Lean Management Green Belt" and "Lean Six Sigma Green Belt" certifications
- > Understand the principles of Lean Management / Operational Excellence applicable at ENGIE
- > Understand and appropriate the "Basic" tools of Lean Management through games and interactive exchanges to better control the performance of an operational perimeter
- > Learn how to lead a project to improve the performance of complex processes using the structured method of the "DMAIC". Apply it to an interactive process simulation that will serve as a pedagogical "common thread"

They tell you about it
Planning
Participants' expectations and knowledge of Lean
Defining Operational Excellence / Sustainable Lean Management for ENGIE and the PDCA approach
Introduction to the principles of Lean Management and application via a game.
Explanation of the fundamental tools of Lean Management for ENGIE (Quality: Doing it right the first time – Problem Solving, Standards and Visual Management)
Presentation of Field Management Routines and Rituals, Visual Performance Management, Lean Manager Posture, Gemba and Cultural Changes
Define Phase: Define the scope and objectives of the project and determine the expectations of the customers.
Measure Phase: Measure the performance of the process, identify problems and irritants.
Anayze phase: Analyze major issues, determine root causes, propose solutions and prioritize them.
Improve phase: Improve the process – test and deploy the proposed solutions, train employees on the target process.
Control phase: Control the performance of the process, the results of the solutions, their sustainability and deploy continuous improvement.
•Reflection on the participants' individual projects
Share a process performance problem and discuss in sub-groups and with trainers the application of the principles taught on this case
Round table and debriefing of participants
• Introduction: Participants' expectations and knowledge of Six Sigma
• Clarify the problem to be solved
• Analyze the current situation – Normal Law, Control Chart
• Define the performance targets and the capability of the process - Cp, Cpk
• Perform data analysis - Linear Regression, Pareto, Gage R&R
• Standardize processes
Prerequisite
Prior to the training, registrants will be asked to provide a process that could be the subject of a process performance improvement project
Teaching approach
Theoretical presentations, practical exercises and interactive exchanges.
Application of the tools taught on an interactive simulation of a process to be improved

Assessment methods
To obtain the "Lean Management Green Belt" or "Lean Six Sigma Green Belt" certification
• The learner will be required to conduct a DMAIC project to improve the performance of a process and demonstrate that it has had a sustainable impact on its Key Performance Indicators.
• The learner will present his/her project, how he/she applied the DMAIC method and the results obtained during an oral defense, in front of a jury composed of a Lean Expert from Engie Consulting (or a partner) and the learner's project sponsor.
